It was a cool night with the Dead Trees at El Corazon, accompanied by a good sound and good people.

I’d never heard of the band before, so I was expecting a different sound: let’s just say I was happy with what they offered. They had a nice, up-beat folk sound and a great stage presence. I really like seeing bands multi-task with different instruments. Their bass player had a maraca at one point, the guitar player went back and forth to his keyboard, and the drummer was singing back-up throughout parts of the show. I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing them again when the time comes. I think you’d like it too, if you’re into that kind of stuff.

Kelli Shaefer’s songs get stuck in my head non-stop. Every other day I find myself waking up with one in there. And that’s a good thing, she’s a talent!

nice pics Chris. Don’t you love it when the artist brings some cool light. It’s a bunch of low hanging fruit after that.

Check out a sick interview back\slash Magazine did with LMFAO about how they blew up in a down economy, the struggles of entrepreneurship, and getting high.
