Hootin’ and hollerin’, Those Darlins kicked up some dust on the outdoor stage at Red 7. The girls clearly had a blast, cavorting around the stage as they dug their spurs into some alt country tunes. With tongues in cheeks, they berated the crowd for not dancing enough. “This song is for the people in the back corner,” dedicated lead singer Jessi, pointing to a group of headband-wearing dancing fools. “I see you shitheads.” By the end of the set the girls were in the crowd, playing solos, singing stories, and breaking the hearts of young cowboys in Austin.
