What the hell happened? While we were basking in the glow of our lopsided annihilation of the Wakey!Wakey! kids in billiards, they went all famous and got “War Sweater” featured on One Tree Hill. Way to go guys! It’s time to get these pictures up, so this review is going to be succinct: you already know how much we love these guys and gals. They are without doubt making some of the best music in New York at the moment and we’re excited about their recent explosion in popularity. Patrick Doane (an attractive and talented musician) is a great new addition to the group and, impressively, seemed completely at ease with his relatively new position in the string-rich Wakey!Wakey! Grab their new debut EP on iTunes or check them out on tour.

I’ve read the book ‘Dream Boogie’ the life and time of Sam Cooke’ If the movie is as good as the book, Sam Cooke will get the respect that he has been deserving of for many years.

My copy of the new Springsteen book arrived, and I can confirm it is an ESSENTIAL keepsake for anyone who cares not only about Bruce in 1978, but also gaining insight into perhaps the single greatest rock and roll tour of all time. The layout, photos and vignettes are amazing, including a surprising memory involving Adele and Douglas Springsteen. You’ll want The Light in Darkness for Xmas 2009.
