Though lacking the humor that characterizes Clem Snide’s past albums and enjoyable live performances, Hungry Bird reintroduces us to the band’s brand of quirky charm and melancholy. As always, songwriter Eef Barzelay’s signature twang and smart lyrics make Clem Snide stand out as an enduring and much-beloved indie act.
