Face Control churns within the tensions between answer and question, avoiding reassuring resolution in favor of Dan Boeckner’s restless guitars and frayed vocals menacingly pacing around Alexei Perry’s hollow, post-postindustrial synthesizers. This sophomore effort should put to rest the notion that Handsome Furs are a mere Wolf Parade side project.
