Don’t dismiss Brannan for his honeyed larynx! With excellent lyricism and composition slightly cheapened by a bedroom voice, Brannan flirts with being passed over. DON’T PASS HIM OVER. His probing lyrics could fill a volume of ostensibly comedic verse, surprising readers every third line with his poignance and depth.
Reminds us of: John Mayer (without giving us the “Let’s go back to your dorm and make out” heebie-jeebies) | James Taylor | Kate Nash | Stan Rodgers, had he not been a bass. Or Canadian.
haha is that a compliment?

Kelli Shaefer’s songs get stuck in my head non-stop. Every other day I find myself waking up with one in there. And that’s a good thing, she’s a talent!
