Òlafur Arnalds - “Found Songs” - Borrow It

text: Ben Davis

Make no mistake, Ólafur Arnalds’s Found Songs is classical music. While considerably less epic than albums from fellow Iceland natives Sigur Rós, Found Songs is intimately beautiful and will potentially intrigue those unfamiliar with its classical influences. But, ultimately, I’d rather listen to Chopin to get my melancholy classical fix.

Reminds us of: Satie | Chopin | Sigur Rós as chamber music

Previous (We Were Promised Jetpacks - "These Four Walls" - Buy It) Next (Moby - "Wait For Me" - Borrow It)

Found Songs to your liking? You'll sweat:

Chopin and Òlafur Arnalds aren’t even really worth a comparison. Their music is nothing alike.

Kelli Shaefer’s songs get stuck in my head non-stop. Every other day I find myself waking up with one in there. And that’s a good thing, she’s a talent!

nice pics Chris. Don’t you love it when the artist brings some cool light. It’s a bunch of low hanging fruit after that.

Check out a sick interview back\slash Magazine did with LMFAO about how they blew up in a down economy, the struggles of entrepreneurship, and getting high.
