Rick Ross - “Teflon Don” - Buy It

text: Chris Barth

Rick Ross assumes a hundred identities on Teflon Don, and none of them are really him. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t matter. The beats are massive and the flows (and features) are nasty. Rap doesn’t have to come in a backpack, remember? Besides, when has hip hop NOT been about posturing?

Reminds us of: Beanie Sigel | Raekwon | Beethoven

Rick Ross: (Official)

Previous (Conductive Alliance - "Water Glyphs EP" - Buy It) Next (Erykah Badu - "New Amerykah Part 2: Return of the Ankh" - Borrow It)

Teflon Don to your liking? You'll sweat:

I mean, it’s definitely swagger-full gangsta rap (without the street credentials of, say, Fiddy or Clipse). But as far as epically large beats and pretty slick raps, it’s definitely worth copping.

we just have beef with his street team who blanketed our block with horrible stickers for the last album…
