Reunion Tour sees the Weakerthans tighten their narrative frame. At certain moments, specificity mutes the emotional resonance, but in “Night Windows” and “Sun in an Empty Room,” a humanity radiates from the looser brushwork used to render a moment in time rather than a life lived in its own way.
