Album Update! Battles & Friendly Fires

Ice Cream (Featuring Matias Aguayo) by BATTLES

After some troubling times within the band, Battles have surpassed issues with bandmates past and put out details on their new record, Gloss Drop. Above you can see the album art in all it’s silly string-esque glory created by guitarist/bassist Dave Konopka, as well as a soundcloud for their latest single, “Ice Cream.” Gloss Drop comes out June 7 in North America, and June 6 in Europe. If you live in Dubai, London or Austin, you can also check out the billboards popping up featuring the pink pile o’ goo.

Also popping out an album is Friendly Fires, who’re releasing their sophomore album, Pala, on May 16. Titled after Aldous Huxley’s Island, Pala also features the talents of the Harlem Gospel Choir and Holy Ghost. Their first single, “Live Those Days Tonight,” will be debuted on BBC Radio 1 tonight, so head over to Friendly Fires’ website for a listen! Then, naturally, check out the tracklisting below:

Tracklisting:
1. Live Those Days Tonight
2. Blue Cassette

“Mindkilla” is awesome. I’ve got this music video last week and really impressed through watching every performance particularly “Glass Jar”. Thanks dude. :)
