Along with the revival of Muppet movies, a handful of artists small and large are assembling to honor all that is fuzzy and hilarious to cover the best and most popular of Muppet tunes in a compilation known as Muppets: The Green Album. Expect modern twists on classic songs such as “Rainbow Connection” and “Mahna Mahna” by artists like Weezer, The Fray, OK Go, My Morning Jacket and Sondre Lerche when the album debuts August 23. The track list is detailed below as well as a look at Andrew Bird’s cover of Kermit’s claim-to-fame, “Bein’ Green.” You can also stream it above and download it for keeps!
