Arcade Fire is recording in New York City!

text:

Arcade Fire is recording in NYC according to member Richard Parry! Give that one a big hell yeah because I’ve worn out all their other records and am ready for some more (plus a tour). News comes from JP’s Blog and goes as follows:

Multi-instrumentalist Richard Parry was interviewed by The Quietus talking about his other band Bell Orchestre when the interview became Arcade Fire. The interviewer began quetioning him about what Arcade Fire was recording in New York and he actually answered some questions. Including some regarding the release date of the new album and tour plans. Ok, he said there was no released date and that there were no forseeable tour dates but he did say the band was recording in New York. This is what he had to say about the recording:

I am in New York doing some recording in a studio - Arcade Fire stuff… recording some strings for some new songs. Just some songs.
Not very exciting but its nice to see that the band are currently recording something with the possibility of a new album next year. Win Butler, Regine Chassagne and Owen Pallett of the band all wrote for the new film The Box, but its soundtrack will not be released due to conflict, hopefully conflict with a new album release.
