Today, Bebel Gilberto (yes, the daughter of João Gilberto) is releasing her new album, All In One. That’s big news for anyone who wants a little bossa nova in their life. I don’t see how you couldn’t be drawn to that style of music. It’s so, for lack of better words, sunny and vibrant. I like to listen to it in funny hats and pretend I have a whole lotta rhythm. Yes, I dance. And from the song I’m posting, entitled “Chica Chica Boom Chic,” I think it’s safe to say that a bunch of that familiar Brazilian flavor is probably wrapped up inside.
As an added note, the cast of characters helping out on this one includes: Carlinhos Brown (Caetano Veloso), Didi Gutman (Brazilian Girls), Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse), Daniel Jobim (grandson of Antonio Carlos Jobim) and John King (the Dust Brothers). That’s a healthy list of names and I’m sold whenever I see Dust Brothers in a sentence. What’s more, if you want someone to tell you what the album sounds like, check back because we are going to be posting a 50 word review very shortly.

i saw them open for the Cave Singers, not very original, the crowd was not into it either, frankly i think they suck
