David Byrne and Dirty Projectors outtake

text: Matt Carr

David Byrne and the Dirty Projectors collaborated on the track “Knotty Pine” for the Dark Was The Night compilation released earlier this year. It turns out it wasn’t the only track that came out of the session. Byrne posted a second, “Ambulance Man,” on David Byrne radio and performed the song at the Dark Was The Night concert. The song’s a duet of sorts with Byrne and David Longstreth--an oddly fitting combination. Thank JP’s blog for the find.

“Mindkilla” is awesome. I’ve got this music video last week and really impressed through watching every performance particularly “Glass Jar”. Thanks dude. :)
