I just finished my top ten list for the year the other day and surprise, surprise (it actually was for me), after listening to all those albums, Dirty Projectors’ Bitte Orca ended up at the top. They are having a great year and the strength of their output has caused other industry players to take an interest in Dave and co. Namely The Roots and David Byrne who showed up to their Nov. 22nd Bowery show in NYC to guest on a few songs. NYCTaper taped and put up the show for anyone that couldn’t be there and I’ve decided to do my duty and send it on to you. By the way, if you don’t know about NYCTaper check that site out. You’ll find plenty NY performances from all your indie favorites, for free and usually at a fairly high level of quality.

Check out a sick interview back\slash Magazine did with LMFAO about how they blew up in a down economy, the struggles of entrepreneurship, and getting high.

who’s got this show covered? Not sure if I can make Boston, know that Portland isn’t in the mix, and this needs to be fixed.

this is one of the coolest things i’ve heard in a while. at least since that brother ali show you put up last week. i agree that bitte orca is great. hearing “stillness is the move” live at sxsw this year pretty much blew my mind.
