It was a guarantee that The Shins would sell out their run of club shows this September. It’s been some time since they have played intimate venues, a treat that has fans clamoring to hear Mercer’s new material and backing band. But we went all gobsmacked as Faces on Film was announced as the opener for these shows. Just seeing them solo would bring us to The Paradise this weekend, and it makes you want to start walking down Commonwealth looking to scalp some tickets. We’ll be there, and so should you.
