I can’t speak for you. I don’t know what you grew up with, but if you were anything like me you started on pop and/or rock music and the branched out from there. One of my first touch points in the world of great music was given to me by my dad when he showed me the first Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers album and I have loved them ever since. So, when I found out today that Tom Petty was releasing a 48 track, 4 disc set culled from 30 years of touring, I was jacked. Here’s a track from it called “Nightwatchmen.” And it’s not some song from a year ago, it’s from a show in LA circa 1981 (info link here)! Petty knows what’s up. Kelli Shaefer’s songs get stuck in my head non-stop. Every other day I find myself waking up with one in there. And that’s a good thing, she’s a talent!

nice pics Chris. Don’t you love it when the artist brings some cool light. It’s a bunch of low hanging fruit after that.

Check out a sick interview back\slash Magazine did with LMFAO about how they blew up in a down economy, the struggles of entrepreneurship, and getting high.

Tom Petty is the reason I got into music. Looking forward to this, especially that “Friend of the Devil” cover
I’m sure that Friend the Devil cover will be great. I remember when I got the DVD doc. of his band’s career (Runnin’ Down A Dream) it came with this bonus cd of songs. And one of the songs was a cover of Hank Williams’ classic “Lost Highway.” Stellar. I’m sure his abilities will find their way into this song as well.
Yep, excellent documentary.
