La Roux’s ”Bulletproof" is one of the best songs of the year, hands down. It’s the kind of record that our pop princesses wish they could make and the Swedes look at like, “welcome to the club, we’ve made jackets.” It hooks you with its bouncy, 8 bit bump and pulls you in even farther with its sing-songy melody, which I doubt will leave your head anytime soon. The remix on the other hand takes a different route. The bounce is replaced by waves and suddenly it’s more Dr. Dre than Nintendo. Now, the vocals fall over strong synths and throbbing sound waves like La Roux is charging up her battery pack to kick ass instead dance away her troubles. that inescapable feeling you are referring to, is that like when you hear something and you could have sworn you heard it before because of the nostalgic catchy quality? or is is like when you’ve heard a band exactly like said band?

no prob. The whole album is excellent, combining some of the harder sonics of Los Angeles with the meat of his debut and obviously difficult to summarize in only 50 words… 
I’d say it’s on par with the debut, but better than Los Angeles.
