Prepare yourself. Super producer/genius Jon Brion is probably going to work with Of Montreal on their Skeletal Lamping follow-up. This came to the music world’s attention via the band’s twitter page where the following message was posted:
Just had a rad meeting with sir jon brion.looks like were gonna work together on the new album! Dreams do come true:•)
I feel like someone just dunked my head in cold water and if this goes down, I’m going to lose it. I love Jon Brion and Of Montreal’s last couple of records, so this is big. Is anyone really surprised though? I mean it makes total sense why these two would come together. Both Jon Brion and Kevin Barnes love the type of stray/compositional instrumentation that blooms in your ears and creative attracts creative.
