New Death Cab Song: “Meet Me At The Equinox”

text: Colin McLaughlin

Ok boys and girls, this is getting posted for the Death Cab for Cutie fans, NOT the Twilight fans.  That’s right, because I’m posting a song from a movie about teenagers (well a couple are teenagers and then there’s a million year old vampire that by age considerations is a pedo), I have decided to act like one. And even though the soundtrack might feature Radiohead (oh boy, do I like them), Bon Iver (so thoughtful) and Muse (don’t care, I’m not from the UK), I still won’t get it because I don’t want to increase the level of Twilight fever that is going around right now like a virus.  It’d be ok for them to have their movie, if they didn’t shove it down my throat, but they do and so this is what they get.  A blogger putting his foot down, still posting a track from their stupid soundtrack, and wait...I think I’m part of the problem.  Enjoy.

Great post! Really digging the new record a lot. The Rainwater LP has some gorgeous moments - definitely recommend checking it out. There are 3 of the new songs up on the myspace page: myspace.com/citizencope
