Oasis concert may delay election results

text: matt carr

According to the BBC News, the British government is warning that an Oasis concert on June 4th could delay voting in its election for members of the European parliament, scheduled for the same day. The sold-out Manchester show in Heaton Park will require police to close off several main roads surrounding the park a half hour before polling stations close. In fear of the potential clogged roadways, election officials are encouraging voters to use mail-in ballots. I guess the Gallagher brothers weren’t planning on voting.

oy! I guess Liam will take the fall from this one. In related news, Lady Gaga has a new song that will be released to anyone who votes. Turnout might be low.

Geez, I guess you’d have to be rather popular to slow an election. I do have to say that “wonderwall” is still a favorite of mine.
