Phish’s second Halloween treat: An unplugged Set

text: Colin McLaughlin

Prediction. If you are a Phish fan and you root around in your candy bag to see what you got at the end of Festival 8 in Indio, CA, you can bank on two big pieces of candy. The first, is the musical costume, and you won’t know what full album you are going to get until you are down there and get lost in a glowstick war/start trippin’ your balls off. The second, which was just announced, will be a full on unplugged set, which has never happened before in the all of phistory. This will go down on the morning after Halloween right when you are coming down. So, for some, a nice bed time tuck in, for others, 2 more hours of teeth grinding...ok enough drug jokes. By the way, what is Page going to do? Does a grand piano count as acoustic? Does a vacuum cleaner count as acoustic for Fishman? We’ll just have to see.

Courtney Love is a neurotic, drug addled, fame whore. She should focus on seeking professional help. Courtney - substantiate your allegations in court, or shut up.

Ryan Adams is a talented songwriter, and has an alert and inquisitive mind. He is also a gentleman.

Damn man, this is a real dope list. 2009 was a great year for hip hop! we actually made a list of our own for the top 10 albums of the year which had a couple overlaps but also some new stuff too:

we also made one for the top mixtapes of 09:

and a list for who we thought had the best year of 2009:

now that I have a baby at home, Vampire Weekend is surprisingly more listenable when dancing with my daughter. Well, as long as I earmuff that whole “do you wanna f*ck” bit…
