Portlanders! Win Tix to The Kooks’ Sold Out Show @ Crystal Ballroom 12/5!

text: Danielle Fowler / photos: Deirde O'Callaghan

December’s about here and you know what that means: no matter where you go there’s going to be an insufferable amount of Christmas music. Maybe you got a taste this past Black Friday and you’re already dreading the commercial nightmare that is fa-la-las and ding-dongs. Well have no fear, because we’ve got the best reprieve to hours of decking the halls and ringing bells. The Kooks have had a strong run of sold out shows throughout North America, and we’ve got a pair to their booked show at Crystal Ballroom on December 5.

All you gotta do is watch their recent performance on Letterman below and tell us what junk is in your heart. Send responses to danielle[dot]fowler[at]melophobe[dot]com and start going over your nice list for a date.

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 4 AT 12 PM PST.

Here’s the rest of the dates for those on the West side looking for something fresher than The Nutcracker:

“Mindkilla” is awesome. I’ve got this music video last week and really impressed through watching every performance particularly “Glass Jar”. Thanks dude. :)
