Present # 3’s focus is on another classic, ‘best of the decade’ based album, which you may know by it’s Christian name, Ryan Adams’ Heartbreaker. Fresh off his split with Whiskeytown, Ryan had to go prove himself without the crutch of his band mates and the critical acclaim they drudged up together. But he didn’t flinch and ended up making something so tender and so brilliant, that he never had to stand next to that shadow again.
The following show is from the solo tour that supported it and highlights the many talents of this man apart before Gold forced him back into a band (though that seemed to work out pretty well too). Unreleased gems like “God Bless The Week You Go Away” and “Hey There Miss Lovely” populate the halls of this performance as does his take on the Backstreet Boys chart-topper, “I Want It That Way.” It’s fun and Ryan is in high spirits, joking with the audience and if I remember correctly, sounding like he’s half in the bag. If you like Ryan Adams you’ll enjoy it and make sure you check back tomorrow for another present.

Kelli Shaefer’s songs get stuck in my head non-stop. Every other day I find myself waking up with one in there. And that’s a good thing, she’s a talent!

nice pics Chris. Don’t you love it when the artist brings some cool light. It’s a bunch of low hanging fruit after that.

Check out a sick interview back\slash Magazine did with LMFAO about how they blew up in a down economy, the struggles of entrepreneurship, and getting high.
