A few weeks ago, I posted this clip of Holly Miranda covering Jeff Buckley’s “Lover, You Should Have Come Over.” She nailed it, making it good enough to post in its own right, but I had more in mind when I put it up. I also wanted to give everyone a taste of someone that I think shows real promise. And on February 23rd, we are going to see if I was right (atleast in a recorded sense) when her first LP, The Magician’s Private Party comes out.
I haven’t heard it, but from what I saw her do live, we might have something here. Also worth noting is that Dave Sitek (of TV on the Radio) produced it and Kyp and Jaleel from TVOTR contributed to some of the songs, as well. Need more? Go see her on tour and you’ll be excited too. Countdown begins now.
