Solange (Beyonce’s sister) has decided to cover the epic Bitte Orca track “Stillness is the Move.” Yeah that same Dirty Projectors song that better be on your best of list. It’s a slow, sensual take that is backed by the familiar music that drove Dr. Dre’s “XXplosive,” Soul Mann & the Brothers’ “Bumpy’s Lament.” Don’t worry, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about once you hit play. I say she releases this because I think it would be a big hit. Or at least whatever a big hit means in this current musical landscape. I’m a fan. Stay classy Solange.

Hey Merseilles did a live web show at sonicbirds office gig on Friday that was pretty spectacular. Can anyone find a copy of that?

Kelli Shaefer’s songs get stuck in my head non-stop. Every other day I find myself waking up with one in there. And that’s a good thing, she’s a talent!

nice pics Chris. Don’t you love it when the artist brings some cool light. It’s a bunch of low hanging fruit after that.

Was a little skeptical at first, but I have to say, this is pretty awesome. I agree, she should release it.
