This must be the year of the supergroup. First Monsters of Folk, then Dave Grohl’s unnamed project with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin and Josh Homme of Queens of The Stone Age. Now, make way for The Almighty Defenders, which is comprised of members of the Black Lips, Mark “BBQ” Sultan and King Khan. The retro rock outfit will release their debut on September 22nd via Vice Records. Listen to the scorching and howling soul of “Bow Down and Die.”
