The Big Pink made you a mixtape

text: Colin McLaughlin

A little while ago, I posted a mixtape the xx made for the UK’s FACT magazine. Let’s just say you were thrilled. I know I enjoyed it. So, following the train of logic that you enjoyed it so much that you wanted another one of FACT’s artist made mixtapes from another sweet artist, I can now say that another mixtape is being offered up, right now, but this time its author is The Big Pink. You know, those guys that did the song “Dominos”. And unlike the xx mixtape, which drew from a lot of the creator’s own catalog, this one seems to be a mixtape of influences and band favorites.  Hope you like it.

Tracklisting:
Pete Rock & CL Smooth - Creator Remix
Sam Cooke - Lost ‘n’ Lookin’
Wu-Tang Clan - Triumph
Nine Inch Nails - Closer
Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen we are Floating in Space (Chemical Brothers Remix)
Einsturzende Neubauten - Sand
Suede - Breakdown
Otis Redding - ????
Benga - 26 Basslines
Rusko - Cockney Thug (Caspa Remix)
Faith No More - We Care a Lot
Pantera - Walk
Death in Vegas - Hands Around my Throat
Gary Glitter - Rock ‘n’ Roll Part 2

“Mindkilla” is awesome. I’ve got this music video last week and really impressed through watching every performance particularly “Glass Jar”. Thanks dude. :)
