When his solo album got released, Julian Casablancas, frontman for The Strokes, went out to promote that sucker. And in interview after interview, he was asked the question, “when are we going to get another Strokes record?” His answers kept getting more opaque from interview to interview and he basically made everyone out there feel like it was never going to happen. But, it appears that his apprehension was misguided, because The Strokes are back in the studio recording with Joe Chiccarelli; the guy who has produced such notables as U2, Beck, the Shins, and My Morning Jacket. So, I guess it just goes to show you that “time will tell” is the definitive phrase in a fan’s handbook. You just never know.

It was a great show. The energy was intense. I was lucky enough to be right up front.

Love these photos and review. So, these DJ sets are at 7:30? I don’t really get it. And are these gonna continue once the Whitney moves? And most importantly, where can I attend an “hour-long clinic on shaking ass?”
