Tribes+We Barbarians; win tickets!

text: melophobe / photos: Fenway Recordings

Let us help your December get off to a great start with tickets for Tribes and We Barbarians. It will be a festive night at the Great Scott, part of a Fenway Recordings concert session on 12/7.

If you have any love for Mystery Jets, then we’d be pleased to have your ears introduced to Tribes. Boston plays host for their first stateside show, and download their free EP for a preview of their rambunctious Brit-rock. We’re sure that once a full album drops, they’ll be back for a proper tour.

To win, tweet @melophobe or comment below with your worst holiday gift ever:Tube socks? Pet rock? Stetson after shave? Your repressed pain could earn you a pair of tickets, winners will be randomly selected and confirmed by December 4th.

Tribes “When My Day Comes”

For those of you not interested in the latest musical savior from across the pond, you need to watch the video of “White” by We Barbarians (dir. Brandon Vedder). The footage doesn’t sync with the song (not in some overdubbed kung fu way) that results in an off-settling tension. The result is a visual reflection of the musical tones. Again, win tickets by sharing below or via twitter @melophpbe what was a horrible holiday gift.

“Mindkilla” is awesome. I’ve got this music video last week and really impressed through watching every performance particularly “Glass Jar”. Thanks dude. :)
