Win tix to see Mos Def at Fête!

text: melophobe / photos: The Urban Daily

In just two months since opening their doors, Fête is bursting its way into the New England concert landscape by booking Mos Def. The club boasts a sizable main concert area, and will also launch a restaurant “bistro” early next year. The creative team behind Fête, Nicolas Bauta and Don King, envision a boutique-styled musical experience that appeals to audiences looking for non-Live Nation music options and performers wanting an acoustically minded concert space. Come celebrate with melophobe as we welcome Mos Def (Yasiin Bey, Boogie Man) to Providence.

To win tickets, comment below with an e-mail address. Contest winner will be announced by Friday, December 9th.

I said Elvis Presley ain’t got no soul. Chuck Berry is rock and Roll. You may dig on The Rolling Stones but they ain’t come up with that style on there own

When will we know who won?

Mos Def is easily one of my favorite emcees out there. Made the trip out to Rock the Bells in NYC over the summer practically for the sole person to see Black Star rock it, and they opened the show and stole it. Black on Both Sides is a classic hip hop album, The Ecstatic is SO dope, and then if you wanna get into the debut with the Black Star album, all around Yasiin Bey although underappreciated is one of the most talented dudes in hip hop, with so much charisma, definitely would love to see this dude rock his solo show!

Epic cassette tape of We are children EP . I want them , hungrily speaking. I did comment here now, shared it on tweet and liked on facebook. How am I going to receive my copy? Retford would be very exciting if this event will be announced publicly.

P.S. I was at a 21+ venue and everyone there was over the age of 21 right, and everyone I mean EVERYONE in the room was talking really loud and ignoring poor Benoit Pioulard who was pouring his heart and soul out on stage.
