not feeling this. he says that his sound is unique, but all i hear is some unremarkable braggadocio.

Couldn’t agree more. I put this up because of the hype around it on the rap blogs and how much people seem to love him, but after listening to it, I just don’t get it. There is nothing new here. Which may just be the fault of the material on this mixtape. Overall, though I think I’m tuning out on Wiz.

    @ Josh

Wiz isn’t popular because of his lyrical skills (although they do get the job done). Both he and Curren$y essentially embody the whole “stoner rap” sub-genre of hip hop, and there are a lot of stoners out there who love hip hop.

But don’t the lyrics have to be there for it to be interesting? They are just run of the mill and it’s not like the beats are all that interesting. There is plenty of better stuff to smoke to, hip hop or otherwise.

Kelli Shaefer’s songs get stuck in my head non-stop. Every other day I find myself waking up with one in there. And that’s a good thing, she’s a talent!

nice pics Chris. Don’t you love it when the artist brings some cool light. It’s a bunch of low hanging fruit after that.

Check out a sick interview back\slash Magazine did with LMFAO about how they blew up in a down economy, the struggles of entrepreneurship, and getting high.
