Harnessing the power of music lifted from early 80’s Cure records and a melody line that sticks like glue, A Place to Bury Strangers’ video for “Keep Slipping Away” delivers. It’s a chronicle of a woman’s frustration with a boyfriend’s obsessive focus on guitar pedals and tv screens that leads her out the door and him flying (literally) into the static world of the television sets. And don’t worry, it’s not sad, so feel free to take it all in without reading too much into the “break-up” aspect of it.
