This is for everyone on Team Coco that missed his final Tonight Show on Friday and didn’t get sent a link to this performance over the weekend. Yes, Conan left the air, soloing to a full version of “Freebird” that included Will Ferrell on vocals, Max Weinberg on drums (obviously), Ben Harper on pedal steel and Beck and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top on guitar. And the best thing I can say about it is that it made you forget what was really happening. A funeral became a party and even though you’re probably upset that he lost the Masturbating Bear in the negotiation, I think we all know that Conan will be back. He shall return to us and the laughter will continue, but until that day, we have this and old clips of Old Timey Baseball.
