David Byrne “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”

David Byrne wants you to know that wild hearts can’t be broken and that age doesn’t always lead into stodginess. The proof is in this clip from his Live At The Union Chapel DVD, in which he covers Whitney Houston and artfully brings the ‘80s back into the house of God.

David Byrne to your liking? You'll sweat:

I LOVE David Bryne, in fact I have worked with him
at Kamp Studios in NYC.... but I don’t think this song
suits him. It is NOT my favorite David Byrne performance. Sorry.

I agree with you. Its not my favorite performance either, however, to me, its a little unexpected and brought a smile to my face and that’s the point of sharing music to me.  Just trying to make people smile for a second.

Yes I totally agree with you!!
I am not being a hater.... unfortunately being a music
producer / engineer it is in my nature to be critical
    and honest! LOL!
I love David Byrne.. he is the nicest person and a
    true musical genius!!

Wasn’t trying to come off as offended.  Just giving you in peek into why I posted it.  A FYI kind of thing.  Please continue being honest, its the lifeblood of a good music discussion. Cheers!

I’m a singer-songwriter who loves David Byrne. He’s has always been the thinking man’s artist / rock n roll artist. And Yes, he’s finger on the pulse with this one; and his violin arrangement says it all. Still gotta deal with being human, even if our brains are over developed!
